If I were running two boston acoustic g5s and the kenwood eXcelon KAC-X1R amplifier, would i need to replace my battery or would i be all set. Would the lights dim severely?

 

you shouldn't need to, but it is recommended, my 5-channel amp pushes out about 50% more wattage than that amp and i had no problems on my stock battery that i used for a little over a month with the system, but i do also have a 2 farad cap. If the battery is older anyways just go ahead and buy an optima yellow top, that's what i did, as lots of others have recommended it.
