Thinking about taking out rear 6x9

So my TSX got 12" sub in the trunk now and everything's perfect except rear 6x9 can't handle low bass. I was thinking about taking it out. any of you tried this? I'm concerned that road noise might be an issue, any thoughts?

With my 1st gen CL, I pulled the 6x9 and put in a 6.5 component set... And just let my 10" sub handle the bass... Works great if you ask me... I get highs from all around and then the bass basically comes through the car... I like the sound of it, and I've had nothing but compliments from everyone who rides in the car...

i just took them out and it is so much more loud. I can't say they sound better because now i can hear the trunk rattle. but that should be fixed tomorrow when the I change spring out to gas one.

btw, why are there so much metal flakes? my hands were all itchy and i found out when i got done taking them out..

You should definitely take them out for the SQ reason only. This is only assuming that you have a pretty good set of front comps and adequate power.
