I am looking into buying the navigation system in the classifieds but its for a CL. I was wondering if the gauge/dash trim for the navi in the CL would fit in the TL as well as all the wiring? Also, would the retrofit be hard? Any help i would GREATLY appreciate.

i'm not sure about the trim. I can tell you right now that the bracket for the dvd rom is different.

 

Everything will fit. You might have some trouble with the on-star wiring though. You won't need those wires but it might confuse you.

 

The '03 CL Navigation system should work fine in a TL- If you are just replacing one of the components, it should work great. If you are trying to integrate the system, the wire lengths and routing will be different between the CL and the TL due to the extra set of doors on the TL and different cabin proportions. The retrofit will be a bit difficult, as I'm not sure if non-nav TL/CL models have the bracket behind the dash to bolt in the navigation screen. The HVAC controls also will need to be re-mapped to the nav unit, and I'm not sure of the connector differences. It would be better to find the wiring harnesses out of a TL, but individual CL components would work (such as the screen and DVD unit).
