Yeah I know about Dom's Unit but I wonder if i really need it.... I have an Alpine unit that plays DVD's but has no display. its a DVD/CD/MP3/Wma Player... I have the factory Navi Sc reen, but im wondering if there is a single unit that i can hook up to my head unit to display video on the navi screen... whats the BEST way to do this...

Yep, you need something that will interface with the stock electronics, since the stock navi doesn't provide any easy way to add a composite video signal to the screen. That is the whole purpose of the "Dom's unit". Good luck.

Its a video converter, not a DVD player. You'll need a separate unit to actually play the DVD and pipe the video to the Dom's unit, which translates it into something the navi screen can display.
