Wiring Help for a sub and amp

I've been doing some reading and I've come to an understanding that I want to double check is correct

if I connect a 4-ohm DVC speaker (200 watts per coil) in series making it 8-ohms (400 watts total?) and then connecting this speaker to an amp with (260 Watts x 2 at 4 ohms) in a bridged connection will everything be ok?

Amp and speaker in question

also does running the sub at a higher impedance produce a better quality sound? I've heard that running in parallel at 2 ohms produces more power but at the trade off of sound quality. I'm more so going for a quality setup and not so much a power setup
