Will HELM manual show how to remove door panels?
Will HELM manual show how to remove door panels?
Will the HELM service manual show you how to remove the head unit and remove the door panels? Just want to make sure it is worth the 67 bucks? (anyone selling one? PM me)
Also, does anyone know where you can buy extra clips if you break any upon removing parts of the dash or door panels? Acura dealership?
Thanks.

yes it will. the door panel is easy..there are just 2 screws to remove. the head unit will take a while to remove and master. i had to look at the helm's manual a couple of times i've removed the head unit like 5 times and now i can do it in 10 minutes. plus with the helm's manual, there's a lot of other info you may need in the future. to me, it's definitely worht the $$$.
There is no clip to be broken, unless you try to break it on purpose. Don't worry about the panel not fitting back. I removed and put the panels back for around 20 times and they are as good as new. I wish I could say the same about my former Prelude.
Hey SK,
Rather than fish new wires through the rubber door conduits, have you tried tapping into factory speaker wires at the amp location? Just disconnect the bloze amp and splice new wires running from an aftermarket amp to the factory wires running to the front speakers. I mentioned this to icy CL. SK, you have bigger "juevos" than me taking your door off! I'm looking for an easy way out. What do you think?

Yes, you can always tap in the stock speaker wires.
I opted to run new wires because I wanted to mount the X-over in the trunk for show purpose. Also, I didn't like the stock wires. If you don't have the same interest, go ahead and tap into the stock wires. Life will be much easier.
