Will Bass mess with my NAVI? 2nd Gen TL
Should I put some dynomat or something around my NAVI in my trunk or something?
I'm running two 10" mtx 4500's with 420 watts in either a sealed or ported enclosure... I was going to either fire them towards the trunk or fire them up towards the empty hole left by the stock eight inch sub.
If I fire them up towards that hole will the bass mess with my amps and navi?

1. Are you firing your subs up towards the rear deck or towards the trunk?

2. the cap...well that is an interesting question. you will find people that swear by them and others that say dont waste your money. I am in the middle of the road on it. I got it for a few reasons, first was because it has a voltage readout, so I can monitor the voltage going to my amps (kinda cool) and the other, because I didnt know how the stock electrical system would like the 1100+ watts from my amps.
it also really depends on if your amps have "regulated" or "unregulated" power supplies. http://www.caraudioresources.net/tec...wersupply.html
If they have a regulated power supply you wont need a capacitor because the amp will provide the same output power (watts) from a wide range of voltage - the whole point of a capacitor is to help keep the voltage that is going to your amps at a steady 14.4 volts. With amps with unregulated power supplies, when the voltage drops, so does the output power of the amps. Kicker amps have "loosely" regulated power supplies - so they dont drop power as quick, but still can benefit from an external capacitor to help keep the voltage up high. So in a nutshell - an external capacitor will not hurt anything, it will only help the amps, and they are also known for keeping noise out of the system, (though, a common ground for all your amps will do the same thing).
