whine noise!!!

hey guys.. i got a little problem with my CLS. I took out the factory speakers and installed some boston acoustics for my front and my rears. i have the power wire running through the driver side and the rca's through my passenger. i stripped off the paint to the metal in back of my backseat for the ground. i am currently using 2 amps. E series jl 400/1 and 300/4. i wired them all to the speakers. for some reason i have a whining noise that is intolerable. some advice would be great. Thanks!

It sounds like your deck is not grounded. A common install mistake on the TL/CL is not running a chassis ground to the deck. The factory deck is mounted to steel brackets in the dash. When you change to a single din aftermarket deck it mounts to a plastic dash kit. For some reason the ground wire in the Honda radio harness is not sufficient. This causes a ground loop. If you run a short ground wire from your factory radio brakets to the chassis of your Alpine you should be golden. Most CL/TL owners that have this problem also have a problem with AM/FM reception. The chassis ground should also cure that problem.

Good luck. Please let me know if that helps.
