Post whats a good 10'?

im putting it in the smallest sealed box possible, so it must be able to deal with that.

is a 12' worth it when all i want is bass?

Here are a few responses to similar questions at www.sounddomain.com :

A couple of small box subs that have good sound quality but still can bump are:
1.boston acoustic pro series
2.infinity perfect
3.kicker solobaric
4.image dynamics idq
Audiomobile Mass 2010, Orion XTR, Alumapro Alchemy, JL Audio, RF HX2, Soundstream Exact.

You might wanna check over at sounddomain.com for more ideas.

"There wont be a huge difference between a 10 and 12, but a 12 will belightly louder and deeper."

"In most cases the 12 will be louder because there is more cone area."

These statements are not my opinion, but the opinion of others from sounddomain.

If it matters, I want more bass too and I'm getting a 12" Perfect in a 1ft^3 box.

Cool

I HAVE A SEALED ENCLOSURE WITH 3 10" JL AUDIO SUBS AND I THINK THERE ONE OF THE BEST SUBS AROUND. THEY PUMP OUT HUGE AMOUNTS OF BASS, ONLY DRAWBACK IT THE WHOLE THING IS VERY HEAVY.

depends on the sound and the amount of bass you want. you can make ALMOST any sub sound good with the proper enclosure and amp.
i have 2 premier 10' subs and i was thinking about switching 2 jl audio. but i decided to give them a try with a custom enclosure and it sounds great. i'm sure jl's would've given me more bass but i'm happy with what i have.

I'd have to agree. If your going w/ a solid bottom end go with a single JL10w5. Have it installed by someone who know's JL Audio install's cause the enclosures really matter. It's the mid rated one. They sound great!

If your warning the block your comming down the street, go with the W6's. Competition worthy!

The HCCA's are made for spl, they sound like crap. Image Dynamics IDQ's are good, and at a great price too.

I agree the HCCA's are made for spl. The XTR are reasonably priced and are the replacements for the NT which sound great.
