A 300/4 would work very good. There are alot of really good four channel amps out there. How much you want to spend will be a big factor as well. You can spend $50 or $1,000. But, you pretty much get what you pay for.

i know you get what you pay for and thats the problem im having...im not setting up a competition system, nothing custom...just something for me to enjoy. I'm spending 250 total on all four door speakers. The amps is saw were like 60 for a Plye amp and 300 for a JL amp. I know JL is a quality brand. I dont want to spend extra money on an amp better then my setup, but i dont want to buy something to cheap and not take adavange of the speakers im installing? am i makin' sense?

I would take a look at some other amps. The JBL p80.4 is a nice little amp. Rockford, Kicker and MTX also make really good amps that are less than the JL. While the JL would provide really good sound, you can get away with a less expensive amp.

You could send more as long as you do not get carried away and it is good clean power. You could get away with 200 x 4 as long as you did not drive around with it maxed out all the time. But, I would look at 75-150 x 4. You really will not be able to tell a difference unless you compare 75 x 4 to 150 x 4. Anything in between and you really can not tell.

but i still got some questions:
so from what you said above....i wounldn't be making a mistake by running a Rockford 150x4 amp to the speakers.

You should be fine as long at you do not get carried away. The amp is only going to put out 150 x 4 at peak moments. If you do not drive around with the volume cranked to max, pushing the speakers to their limit, you should be fine. If all you want is good clean sound at a resonably loud level, you will be fine. What kind of music are you going to be playing and what volume do you normally listen?

There really is not much difference in 150 x 4 and 200 x 4. Maybe 1 db louder. 300 x 4 would be a different story. To really see a difference, you need double the power. Remember though, that even double the power is only 3 db increase. I just would not spend the money on 200 x 4 if I had a good 150 x 4 in mind.
