"E" does stand for economy relative to the "slash" line, but I don't know what this amp costs... but it seems full-featured compared to many amps.
I suspect that the "e" series is NOT fully regulated in the power supply section. Jeff Scoon is a fully-regulated fan, but it makes amps expensive (PPI, Xtant, Zapco Reference, etc.). Many good-sounding amps are NOT fully regulated...
