i got quoted $699 for the viper 5902 w/ tilt sensor installed on my TSX.

does that sound about right or should i keep looking?

if u audio/alarm guys know of a place where u can get this done for a better price let me know.

I was gonna do one myself, but after reading all the reviews about the smart start im not doing it.

Smart start is the program which allows you to start your car via smart phone. Can be miles and miles away and it starts it.

 

so when u say ur not doing it anymore...u mean ur not gonna get the 5902 and go for the smart start instead right?

viper 5902 and smartstart are 2 different types of alarms correct?

 

Pretty sure they are the same. I could be wrong though. The smart start can be added to it if my research is correct. But that's pretty high a quote, im just sayin look into other installers.

i checked out a few more places today. they gave me better quotes than the original $699. so far $580 is the best offer i just gotta see how much is included with that.

 

Yeah I think my friend has an viper alarm and he got it installed for about 500.

 

Any of the viper units from the 5101 and up can utilize the smartstart module. The 5901 and 5902 are basically the same except for different remotes. The 5902 has the color screen with the flick stick to go through different functions instead of using an F button.
