do you even need an inverter? Since the ps2 uses an AC adapter you can prolly figure out what current it needs DC wise, and skip the inefficient conversion from dc - ac - dc.

I've been trying to figure this out for a while, having to use an inverter is B.S. I know u have no choice for XBOX since it uses so much damn power, but PS2 should not be a big deal.

I think this is something you might be interested in, PS2 on 12V without an inverter: http://www.asdffdsa.net/car/howto/ps2_in_car.htm

Well that looks simple enough, except I would also like to use it in the house ... oh well cant ask for too much. Thx.

After looking at the wiring diagram, it appears that it can accept both 120VAC and 12VDC. Cool, I didn't ask for too much!

thanx..but im really not good with that stuff...i just need to find a small inverter....also...would i have heat problems with the inverter if the space is too confined?

Depends how much current you're trying to yank out of that inverter. The more current you're pulling, the more heat it's going to generate. If you get a small inverter and run it to the max, it's going to get hotter than an inverter that is bigger (assuming everything else is constant). One reason is a bigger heatsink. More surface area .
