and is it possible to get that hooked up to a GPS?

 

pioneer p7000 and yes, you can hook up navi, dvd, etc etc

Looks like a remote eye.

 

Definetley a remote eye for a dvd player/changer... I have the same thing with my XDV-p9 dvd changer. Hmm, although there is a cable for the changer to go directly to the brain -- the eye is only if it is being used standalone. So, I would be inclined to say that it is a non pioneer DVD player.
