I know most people are putting it up above the rear view mirror which is ok, but it's kinda big and clunky. I would get the remote module, which is pretty easy to locate, but I wanna hide the main module as best I can.

I'm sure StreetEffectz has to have some ideas. Fiberglass maybe? New front map light console? I don't want to do any major surgery, but want to be able to hide it better.

I've seen the installs into the rear view mirror, but damn that's a hefty price tag.

I wouldn't mind taking it apart, but it's a pretty expensive item to be screwing with.

I saw something on the web about mounting it into the front bumper, but I think it was something around $1000 for it. Too rich for my blood.

Any thoughts?

if you haven't bought the v1 already, you might wanna look into passport's newest 8500. its smaller and there are claims that its better. just a thought.

personally the best place to hide a V1 is in the trash can! i think it is a waste of money but that is my opinion. it is very big and clunky so good luck! i have the 8500 and it hides very nicely behind the tinted band at the top of the windshield. you cant really see it even if your looking for it

Whatever. My V1 is mounted right behind my tint band to the left of the rear view mirror and you cannot see it from outside.

NSXNEXT - It would be nice to have a stealth install without paying a lot - not a easy solution I'm afraid. But along with the concealed display I got the V1 Remote Audio Adapter that I'm installing in a custom switch panel in the cup holders so I can control the on/off, volume and modes without moving That's my solution for now.
