Video Playback Quality on Stock Screen

Those of you who have Nav/DVD Conversion done....
How is the picture quality of playing DVD on the stock screen ?
Or that's dependent on the other hardwares ?

If you can compare that to some mobile DVD players that'll be great
thanks

I was hoping you wouldn't move the message because
I don't think "Audio & Video" is as frequently visited as "Car Talk"

I can't speak to the video quality of the converters, but I can confirm that that is the weak link.

The panel is actually much higher resolution than other 7" and 8" panels you will see used in mobile video products. Most of these (with the exception of the Alpine with the SVGA pSi screen) are 1/4 VGA resolution. So the panel in the TSX is capable of much better video than most mobile products.

The weak link is how you get composite "yellow-RCA" video onto the RGB in the car.

Some of the DVD players have crappy video output... you gotta see one before you buy, really.

Unfortunately, I have not seen ANY converters with an S-video input, which would help a bit...
