Video on Navi Installers in South/Central Florida
I know that this has been the subject of a post in the past, however now that a significant amount of time has past, I thought I would repost.
I would like to know if anyone has successfully installed video on their Navi in South or Central Florida. I live near Ft Lauderdale and I do not mind the commute if anyone knows of someone who can do the install.
Earlier, someone recommended Speaker Warehouse in Hollywood. I went there, however they refused to do the install since they said it would require "splicing wires" - and may disable the Navi feature. Regardless of whether this is indeed the case, I thanked them for their time and left.
Thanks in advance for your help. You may either direct your responses here, or alternatively, to my email address at ckkane@aol.com - if the latter, please indicate Video on Navi in the subject line.
Thanks again,
CBK

Thanks for the lead; I'll give them a call. Do you know whether they have indeed made a successful installation of the Video on the existing Navi system?
Thanks again.

no but i talked to the guy and he seemed very interested and said that as long as he could find out what part to use he was pretty sure they could do it. there is also a more upscale car audio store here in tampa called sensuous sounds.
some others that i know are good stores that woule be worth a try:
divine sounds
buzz off
and:
audio itch: 813 877 4824
sensuous sounds: 813 988 7000
buzz off: 813 882 8477
divine sounds: 813 886 3100
just tell them what you want done and that the part is the pioneer avc-rgb1. they should be able to help you. who knows, maybe one of the stores listed has done it. these stores deal with a lot of high end cars so i wouldn't be surprised.

I talked to Divine about it a little while back. They said they could do it but cost a lot of money. I would also try German Auto House in Tampa. They did Shaqs car and do bentleys, Rolls, benz. All that so see what you can find and let us know.

Have you heard of/tried Audio Logic in Hollywood? I've had them do several alarm installs over the years and they do VERY clean work. I'm sure they could handle this without any trouble. They're on Davie Road Extension just east of University Drive. They have/had another shop in Fort Lauderdale, but I've never been to that location.

Thanks RAdams. No, I havent heard of them, but I will call them too. By the way, the sources in Tampa have not done such a conversion. They suggested I call when a "Kit" comes out.

Well after about 6 hours of terible instructions and wrong information, i finally got my factory navigation monitor to play video. I made some very detailed step by step instructions on how to do this, with about 25 pictures (so pretty much even a moron could do this with these instructions). I have been a car audio installer for the past 4 years now at one of the number one northwest audio shops (so i know what i am talking about). I am selling these instructions for $25 on a burned CD or $30 for a hard copy. Why pay an installer to do it for you when you can do it your self for 1/10 of the price. These instructions include a materials list and a tools list. Shipping is free any where in the us. If you would like to purchase a set on these instructions please email me at heyjoe8@hotmail.com with the subject as Acura Navigation to Video. I will ship the instructions as soon as i receive payment, i accept checks, money orders, and cash.
