Question USB adapter cable...???

Hello.
I just purchased a used 2009 Acura TSX. It's a great car.

I just have one question. I want to connect my IPod to the car. I know there's a port in the center compartment, but the USB won't fit.
Apparently I need a USB adapter cable to connect it to the port at one end and to the IPod Connector Dock cable at the other end.
Can anyone tell me where I can purchase this cable?
Here's an image:

I'd appreciate it if anyone helped.
Thanks!

A picture of the actual connection would help more...

OP made it sound like he's tried that cable and it doesn't work. And I meant a picture of the connection in the car, I know what the Ipod cable looks like (I have one in both of my cars).

Its a standard USB connection - use your white cable that came with your ipod ( see pic above )

I already tried the USB cable that came with the IPod. It doesn't fit properly.
Here's the picture of the port:

I hope that picture is clear enough.

May seem like a stupid question, but did you try plugging the USB chord in both ways?

Hmmm, I'm not sure how you tried to plug it in but it's apparent that you're doing it wrong. The black cable with the gray end is your USB connection, you plug your normal ipod USB connection into the gray part. From your second photo, it looks like you have dismantled the connection. What did you do with the cord that you removed from the input marked "USB"? You will need to re-attach it, then plug the USB connector that came with your ipod into it, then attach the ipod.

The cord in the first picture didn't come with my car. I just found that picture on the internet to show the kind of cable I need. I bought the car used, which is probably why it's missing and the reason I'm asking where I can purchase that cord.

And yes, I did try plugging it in both ways. Again, it doesn't fit.

No one knows what kind of cable I need to buy?

Now we're getting somewhere. That cord that is missing is what you need. I'm not sure if it would be available outside of the Acura dealer.

If you go to www.acuraoemparts.com and do a key word search for USB, I believe you can get the part from them for about $33. I believe this is the part # you need 39114-TL0-G01

That's what I came up with as well, but I'm not sure if it's #2 or #3 in the diagram.

He needs at least one of those, maybe both but I'm not sure which one. It's definitely an Acura part that is required, not something you'll be able to pick up at the audio shop or computer store.

My advice to the OP is call your local acura parts department and find out which one it is.
