Below is the problem description I sent to USA spec.

I have purchased a used 2004 Acura TL with your product in it.

The previous owner used a 60 gb video IPOD without problems.

I have a Six CD changer and XM satellite radio (in case that is needed info)

I have a 30GB video IPOD and when I plug it into the system with your plug, my IPOD gives me an error message that says "the currently attached accessory is not supported by this IPOD". Any suggestions you can give me?

It looks like the audio system goes to Disk #5 and tries to play, but the IPOD chokes on the error message.

I have done a restore on the IPOD and put on the most recent software and still no luck.

USA Spec recomended the restore, but had no suggestions beyond that. They indicated that they have heard of this issue in a small number of cases.

Any help greatly appreciated.

 

I'll have to agree, a restore would be the best thing to try.

 

tried the restore. No change. Same error message.

 

which ipod do you exactly have? I have the 30 GB video one that is being sold in stores now, and it works.

 

Purchased my 30 gb ipod about a year and a half ago. No problems untill this situation.
