Upgrading Stock System

Seems like a lot of you know your stuff, and since I have no clue, I thought this would be a good place to ask. I'd like to upgrade my stock '03 system by getting better speakers and adding an amp. I've been told by the place that did this same thing for my old Mazda Millenia that it can't be done, since the system is a Bose and it puts out different amps (?!). Does that make any sense, and is there a way this can be done? I wouldn't be doing it myself, so what would I need to ask to be done? Thanks for your help.

P.S. I have an older A/D/S amp that was pretty good when I bought it about 8 years ago. I don't know the specs off hand. Any recommendations for speakers, keeping in mind that I'd replace them all?

It can be done. You just need the appropriate line output converters then you are in business. Check http://www.cardomain.com/item/PERVEN45.

If you are looking for a shop to do the work don't go to Goodguys, Best Buy, etc. Go to a high end custom car audio shop. They will be very capable to upgrade your system for you. Might cost you a pretty penny but best to get it done right once then have it done several times just to get it right.

StreetEffectz I believe is in NJ. They have done some awesome stuff to other TL's. They should be able to help.
