Hey Kids,

I had to put the internal speaker / amp upgrade on hold in my 2001 CL-S. The Alpine Type-S 6.5components did not fit my door, and the pro shop wants to charge an extra $300 for fabrication of a module they would sit in...

Anyway, since the dash was already gone, and I recived the wire harness the same day... you can guess what happend next.

The issue: The unit powers on, everything looks ok... but no sound! I checked fuses, all was ok there. I ran the remote per the wiring guide, (Cavity 3) no luck. Hooking up one of the 6.5 to all channels, and confirmed the HU was producing sound.

Any Ideas?

Did you use the wire in pin 3 of this diagram (labeled Grn/Red)?

The next thing I'd try is plugging the OEM HU back in and see if that works.

Correct, I did connect this wire (Cavity 3), but due to it's shot size I was unable to solder it. I will try to splice a better connection. The factory HU is back in there.

I took pics and should post a thread. But I was able to remove the top of the Factory HU and remove the CD that was stuck. So many of us have had this issue with the stock HU. It was so easy, and now I can listen to CD's again!
