Thanks for the idea about the lights. Acually I was thinking of wiring my remote wires to switches.Because I do have a young son that rides in the back from time to time."when I'm not ripp'n the car apart. I really dont stress someone stealing my stuff. If it happens o well.think I've put a extra 3 or $5000 on the insurance, idont remember.I got a shoe box full of slips for the car. Also I do have a shaved trunk and keep the door trunk switch off and locked inside the glove box.Thats about all I can do.It will definitly slow down a theif. Also I live on a dead end road where everybody knows you.So Its really not a thought. thanks for the advise

18" subs have no use in any car, only in nightclubs can they be used as they were designed.

I think all you need is a pair of really quality 12's in the right box, with the right power and it will be beyond awesome.

I gotta say I don't agree with you(or his set up). But 18's can make a car slam like crazy. If I had the trunk room id throw a 18 btl in mine.

No, and yes. 18's can do perfectly fine in a car, as long as the box is properly designed and everything else is done right. When done incorrectly, yes, 18's have no place in a car. But when done right, they can get stupid loud.

I agree that a set (or even single) 12 on proper power is more than enough....

Ya,I plan on going a bit further.Just got my 2nd amp and more 1/0 Kolossus Flex Kable 5145 yesterday.I just gotta get (3) more fuse holders and (2) 1/0 reducers to wire properly. When installed I will be taking a easy with it till I can get a huge alternator, and a badass pair of batterys. I should start pricing windsheilds now.
getting to know each other.

I was only kidding about the windsheild.
But this does hit hard and move alot of air.I know its gonna be a monster withthe 2nd amp.1 amp is going to run the 12's 1600w@1ohm.And the other will run the 18@.5ohm and I was told running my amp @.5ohm my amp would try to put out 40% more power. So that amp would be trying to put out 2200w.I dont know how to figure out the extra power but, this is what I was told. And it sounds good to me.3800w rms sounds great. Does any one know how much accually my 1600w@1ohm amp would be trying to push @.5ohm?

there not stable @1ohm. If you dont have it slaming song after song and a couple of fans will help keeping it cool. The only problem running @.5ohm is the heat.So if you keep it cool I think it will be fine.my 18 is dual 1ohm.So I could run my amp @2ohm for 1100w or .5ohm for about double the power.the Fi sub needs more than the 1100 thats for sure.

Suit yourself... Have fun breaking your gear and constantly replacing it... If you do something right, you won't have to replace the gear... If that's what you're going to do, have fun spending shit loads of money all the time... If you did it right, you'd just buy an amp that put out enough power for each of your separate subs (18 and 12's) that would run at whatever final impedance you need. Seems like I'm talking to a wall in here, but hey whatever...

I'm accually going to have the frame I cut to fix the box welded up this morning. The upolsterer needs 2 frames made around the box before he can do his thing.1 to pull the material and one two hook on to.I will put pics of the completed frame sometime today/tonight.but pic of the upolsterer's work wont be up for over a week.cuz he's a week out on his work. But he will have his hands on seat in the maybe tommorow as long as welding today goes fine..check back for the updates. I will take a couple pics of work being done just in case somebody else wantsto attemps this also.

FYI mix matching subs is never a good idea. Also, your rattles are horrible. You need to dynamat or second skin the crap out of that thing. I don't have a single rattle. And like the other guy stated, I get more sound from my single 12"

This was before it was finished...Just dust on the wood.

The amps are laying in front of it but I am planning on moving them down where the spare tire use to be.

from the way it looks, no bass from the btl is entering the cabin since it looks sealed off. that single btl off 3k will be 2x-3x louder than those pioneers.

Nice AQ. I'm assuming it's a HDC3 12? What kind of power you running to it?

And eggy, you're right, and I agree, but this thread is like talking to a wall...

This thred is not like talking to a wall.I'm just doing something differnt, just like all my other mods.Cars get looked over when they look the same.My cl looks difernt, cuz I want to stand out. But for the people that are interested in diffent things,my rear seat frame is welded and ready for the upolsterer.I think I'm gonna have him wrap the box in the same matching leather so It looks good. the weld job is perfect, its not bolted in yet cuz it will be getting droped off tommorow. first frame isto pull the material 2nd frame is to hook it. the box dont look straght cuz the frame was thrown on to get home.. Cant wait till it's done. And anyone from azine thats close to me and wants to hear how well it sounds let me know.cuz mixing subs sounds fine to me.
