Two 10's, Infinity Basslink, Other?

Ok, I went cruising around the other night jamming to some nice hard rock (Grade 8, Nothingface) and the stereo sounded like a$$! No bass! I know there are some good posts on here about wiring up everything so I'm all set for the wiring.

What setups would give me some good thump that I can hear with the trunk passage closed and the stock sub still installed and working?

I had an 1993 Altima several years ago and MTX 8" truck speakers with a small Alpine amp (35x2) and could not get any bass whatsoever even with the trunk pass-thru open. I'd like to make sure that I have some bass to offset all that treble and midrange in my Blose without under/overdoing it. I figure if I err on the loud booming side, I can always dial out what I don't want.

This time I want to do it right. I'm thinking an OBCAN small enclosure with plexi window. It should fit nicely between the rear wheel wells behind the rear seat and the depth is minimal. Click Here.

A couple subs that would look nice in the plexi window:
2 AudioBahn 10's -or- 2 Ultimate 10's

Problem is I never heard of these speakers before! Anyone have any suggestions about which 10's I should be looking at? The box is $119 and I'd like to stick to subs less than $129/piece. The amp I'm working with is a 4 channel Sony that was 4x50 and is bridgeable to 2x100 or something like that.

One last thing. I noticed that someone on here bought an Infinity Basslink and i found one for $220 and wondered if it took care of the bass problem. I read some reviews on it and they said it made bass, but didn't hit particularly hard like box speakers. How does it sound in the Acura trunk?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Ive got a mtx "blue thunder" 10 inch and a USAcoustic amp "2080"(260w rms).the box is ported and sits against the back seat facing the back of the trunk.the whole setup is about 170.00 buck new ,i made the box.
anyways its a good match for the blose system, anymore and i'd need to upgrade the doors w/amp and loop plug for H.U. ect.ect.

Thanks Yield2s for the reply. You've got just one 10" MTX and it's almost overpowering the stock system? After my bad experience with my Altima, I'm afraid to go too little. How about the stock sub, did you leave it alone or disconnect it?

I checked out your amp online (says 80x2 RMS). I assume you like it? It got decent reviews on Sounddomain.com and is supposed to be a clean amp. Says $85, is that right? What's the catch? I think I paid $250 for my crappy Sony back in the stone ages, LOL!

Hmmm, maybe I need a new amp...
