tweeters in a 2nd gen tl-s

I wanted to mount my tweeters in front of where the door handle is on the door panel but theres not much room on the driver side door because of the memory seat buttons. Has anyone else ran into this problem? I dont want to surface mount them on the sail panels and i think if i mount it right next to the speaker it will be too low and not sound as good. what should i do?

Exactly. I cut about 1/8th of an inch of foam out around the hole. They are not completely flush but damn close.

damn that really does look good. How does it sound? I was thinking about fabricating the sail panels a bit with some fiberglass but this would be easier. Did you use the flush mount pieces with the tweeters or just the surface mount ones and set them in.

I used the flush mount cups that came with the speakers. They sounds awesome.
