TypeSDragoon,

Do you have the old style RGB converter or the new RBA-N1 from the Video-Nav?

If it is the old style, I was looking around and found an Alpine TV tuner/A/V switcher on Crutchfield. Now I have not used it, but it seems to be pretty bad ass. It is ~$450 at Crutchfield so I'm sure you can find it cheeper.

If anyone has used this TV tuner I would also like to hear some reviews.

I've got the Santeca ST-1000, it also has 4 channel diversity antenna, it's got 3 aux inputs and 2 outputs, so I've got the Tuner hooked up to the Navi conversion, and Vid1 is DVD, Vid2 is backup camera, and Vid3 is PS2. Price is around $200.

Check it out on:

Decent reception in NYC for 13 or 14 channels.

Here are some pics of the tuner installed.

That's a nice setup...

Can you give us your impressions on TV reception?

All I can say, that in general, TV reception is NOT the greatest in moving vehicles. While parked, reception is not bad, as long as there isn't a huge building around. We have a TV tower on top of the Empire State, which helps reception in the city. Once I go maybe 20 or 30 miles away from the city, I start having pretty poor reception. So, I'd venture to say that near a Metropolitan city, you should be able to get most of the major networks. I for one, can't get CBS, channel 2 here too well. But the other channels are much better.

I apologize for the fluidity of this answer, because that's exactly how it is when it comes to the TV reception.

Don't expect a reception like at home, but it's certainly great to catch ball games and news on the road!!
