I guess this is mostly for those who got the AVElectronic unit (but by all means open to anyone else) I was wondering what you did in terms of the TV antenna? Did you go with the given antenna or did you opt for something different? I think I read the given antenna was too weak.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for an amplified antenna? Is the AVElectronic amplified antenna the only one tried? AVElectronic Amplified Antenna

 

I am on the same boat as you. I just completed my installation of the AVelectronics system last night. And yes, the antenna system that is included is very weak. The one on the AVelectronic website in amplified.

Let's work on this together in order to come up with the best alternative.

I did a search on Yahoo "car tv antennas" and came up with some other options.

I think we need to educate ourselves on antennas, then go out and find the best one.

If you want to pull in a lot of stations, you need a amplified antenna. I get about 15-20 stations with my Pioneer amplified 4 channel TV antenna.

 

ne1 tried the amplified antenna with the avelectronics kit yet?
