TSX upgrade input needed
Ok so I dont want to add a sub but I do want better bass responce. I been sampling differ cds today and the TSX system sucks. Sounds great at low volume.
I have a full blowing system in the TL. So dont want to spend that much money or time in the TSX. What type of 6x9 are people using with the factory unit and what front door speakers.
I read the DIY but seems a bit outdated.
From the search I say those 6x9 subs for the hear but dont really want to run all the power wire and shit.

6x9 replacements aren't going to buy you anything. Where the TSX lacks is in the underpowered amp and tiny door speakers which are responsible for most of the range.
Also, those rears only receive low signals, but with an artificially high cutoff. Not a great signal.

If you're looking to bump, you will need an amp+sub. However, you can improve on the bass (tighten it up) by replacing the 6x9s. Search this Audio & Video section as there are a number of threads on TSX speaker swaps.
I chose to go with the Avincar kit but it seems that isn't available anymore. Another popular option is the Alpine Type S. As Reach stated, the rear 6x9s act like subs in that they only get the low freq. signal (the higher cutoff is probably to save the crappy OEM 6x9s from blowing). If you use 2-way speakers the tweeters will not reproduce anything. Look for replacement speakers rated in the 50W-150Wmax range (anything more will not get pushed by the little amp), poly cones (not paper, unless well treated), rubber surround (NOT foam), 92db or better efficiency (lower efficiency on the OEM amp will sound quiet).
