i'm having a tough time trying to figure out what sizes are the speakers in my car. I'm asking this because i want to order new speakers (boston acoustics) pretty soon here. I think the sizes are .....6" for the doors and 6x9 for the rear. can someone confirm this for me ASAP. Thanks in advance.

becareful im not so sure the size is 6.5 but you definetly want to look into spacers if your not drilling it on to the door.

I got spacers made for all 4 doors.
stock speakers are part of the plastic frame.

 

Be mindful of speaker depth when you order new ones.

 

But you should use 6.5" aftermarket speakers, and spacers.

 

what's the maximum mounting depth for the 6.5 components?

what are some common components people are putting in. I know somebody had to cut the frame for the Type-S component and I don't want to do that.

What about the Infinity perfect 6.1?

 

The infinity perfects will fit fine with the proper spacer, but I think you might be unhappy with them. (assuming they are going in the stock locations) Everyone has their own opinion, but I think those tweeters would be WAY too bright in the stock TSX locations. I put a set in a friend's S2000. In there, they sound good as the tweets mid door and are able to overcome the excessive road noise. In the TSX though, I think they'd make your ears bleed.
