TSX speakers question

I wnat to change all my speakers with alpine Type S. I have a 4 Channel and a 2 channel amp. I will change my head unit too. The question is i'm planning to use the 2 channel for the sub and the 4 channel for the speakers. 2 for front component and 2 for rear. But should i use the rest of the 4 channel for a 3 way 6x9 or a 2 way 6.5?? Which one you guys think will be better. thx

i'd use the 4 channel for the front and rear speakers ... remove the rear 6x9 on the rear deck as you are using subs .. and use the 2 channel amp to power the sub.

if rear fill isnt important to you, u can either get rid of the 6x9's or just get some woofers (not the mid n tweeters) and use that as midbass for the rear.

I'm going to question the whole plan... why replace the HU and then go with Type S speaks? Why not go with the OEM HU, and then up the speaker budget for something better?

And I totally agree on jettisoning the 6x9s.
