anyone know if there is a tsx (w/navi) ipod link that allows you to keep full control over the ipod and also displays text on navi screen?

i too been wanting to know this answer. i dont think anyone knows yet.

 

The new DiCE unit is advertised as doing this, but it does not work. Currently (as of 5/27/07) there are no ipod solutions for the TSX which display text on the navi screen.

 

i read on another thread somewhere that you can get text on the screen if u get the new dice unit and are willing to give up sat radio. i dont know how valid or exactly what unit that does this but i wanna find out.

 

That's what the unit is supposed to do, but jswim99 here owned one and reported it did not work. He reported to us that he contacted the customer service and they said it was a known issue that it did not work for the TSX. They had no workaround.

 

Acura has recently stopped offering their old musiclink connector and will soon have one that allows full control of the iPod, that they promise will be good. I ordered it for my 07 tsx and will get it installed as soon as it arrives. Should come soon, since they're no longer producing the old one.

 

Yeah, the R3 definitely did not work in my TSX non-navi. The screen said "DICE" when it first turned on, but then nothing. Tech support couldn't figure it out, either. I'll believe this thing works when I hear from more folks that have had success.

Yeah, I heard the R4 works but you have to give up your XM for it to work since XM is the only setting that allows for text on screen.

 

finally got the r4.... now im having issues on the install... xm and ipod play together in sat mode... and when i disconnect the xm unit in the trunk i get a message that says "xm loading" on the HU display.... and no text on navi screen... anyone have any idea? let me know thanks...
