TSX: If you had $1000 to spend

I see a lot of threads with high priced component systems but if you had to keep it to a reasonable level of say $1000 or so including installation what components give the most bang for buck?

Are you asking about an entire audio upgrade for $1K? Or just "component systems", which usually means mids and tweets? (Just want to be clear...: )

Alpine MRV-F450 5/4/3 Channel Power Amplifier $289 at ecost

Maybe Diamond 613 for the front $325 from streeteffect

a decent sub $200???? and $200 to install???

Is that too good to be true?

Elephant, one question mark does the job, no need for holding the button down till your finger gets tired : )

From your last post, it's obvious that you want pro install of a full system, cool, here's what I'd do:

First off, the Diamonds are popular, but in a $1K system $325, or 32%, is too much to spend on the fronts just rom a budget POV.

I would look at lower-cost fronts, and probably apportion it 20% fronts, 30% amp, 20% sub and box, and then install, RCA, and cabling... If you are on a tight 1K budget I think you have a practical limit of like 200 bucks for fronts, 200 bucks for a sub and box, around 300 shipped for an amp, and 300 would cover install and all the wire and cable (depending on the cosmetic approach to amp install).

You could have a lot better parts for 1300-1500. Install wouldn't change. There aren't many $200 seperates I like...I'd prefer going with better fronts.
