TSX Dash Tweeters

I recently had my system installed at Street Effectz...

Aside from having amp problems with my old Soundstream Reference 405, I am not too happy with the DLS seperates I bought from them...

A. the tweeters are super bright coming off the dash, and I cant seem to tune it right...also the tweeters seem to play too much midrange, not sure what the x-over point is on these...

B. the tweeters are extremely ugly on popping outta the dash and kill the stealth interior theme...

My question is this, what tweeters work better coming off the dash, maybe softer or a higher x-over point?

and what tweeters will fit under the stock dash tweeter grilles?

Trying to get it all settled before going back down there and spending another day there.

I am not unhappy with their work...just my selection of components.

Didn't do enough research I guess.

What system did they install? What tweeters are these exactly? You may have a filter box with a selectable tweeter level.

I used this years Infinity seperates and basically taped them inside the stock tweeter grills. Sound great and looks stock!

And you're the first to have anything bad to say about one of their installs(grill popping out). Must have caught them on a bad day or sumpn? Their stuff is usually amazingly solid!

those are the ones with the ugly tweeter grilles heh.

Ron emailed me saying he thinks they can pull the grilles off and remount them under the stock grilles.

Trying to decide on a new amp and make another trip down...leaning toward a JL 300/4

Maybe the amp change will make the sound quality more to my liking.

Those look like the C6. There is a tweeter level select on the filters. Try the other setting before you spring for a different amp.
