Transmitter unlock doesn't work

I just bought my 00 TL, and the lock and trunk buttons are working, but I can't unlock the door with the remote. I just replaced the battery on it, and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I think it might be the remote itself.
What i would do is but one on Ebay they are relativly cheap.Then program it.
Programing it is easy.
Instructions can be found in this forum. Just do a search
