Transfer VCD File to play in ipod

hey guys, been a while,

i want to be able to have my ipod nano play vcd files. I need to showhow convert the video files to some sort of file that the nano will recognize. Anyone do this yet?

Google the following program: Videora iPod Converter.

It's from the creators of PSP Video 9 and it's the best free program to convert videos into iPod compatible video files. Works great with my iPod video

Quicktime is good too if you're willing to pay for it.

i'm not sure if i have the setting wrong or something. the files i am converting from are .dat

You will have to convert that to an .avi or .mpeg file in order to convert it to the iPod format. Try doom9.org for instructions on how to do so.
