TL door speaker install w/crossovers...PICS for those who asked :)
This is a Memphis component/coax set we installed today. A lot of people have been asking what we do with the crossovers and how we accomodate an oversized 6.5" mid. In the pics you can see we cut notches in the factory speaker hole and tucked them under, routed out 6.5" spacers and siliconed them in nice so the baffle doesn't leak.

Ron is that a 3/4" spacer or 7/8"? The reason I ask is when i was playing with the syncs in my car a few months back i noticed just a slight amount of rubbing against the window when it was rolled down while using a 3/4" spacer. But i was doing things quick and dirty since the rep was there so I may have had something measured wrong.

With modern cars, wherever you put the xovers, unless you have a custom amp rack in the trunk, will require disassembly to access. Taking the door off is unfortunately a bit less painful than getting to mine in the TSX, which are under the carpet and backing against the passenger side firewall. THis requires pulling the underdash panel and the pass kick to get the carpet back... grr.
