Post For those who have added subs in the trunk...

Did any of you take out the Bose sub in the rear window to port the sound through the car better??? I was thinking about doing this for the mere fact that my sub box has a port that is in the top of the box and points directly at the sub in the rear window. I'm afraid that the air may damage the factory sub.

Any input on this???

I don't think that the air will damage the factory sub. I do think that you should take the stock sub out if you aren't using it. it's just dead weight slowing you down, not by much but hey weight is weight.

Your port should be pointing towards the rear of the car if possible. I still have the stock sub hooked up but when I change the headunit, which also means changing all the door speakers, I plan on throwing that stock POS sub away.

My box has a port in the top and the way it is made, it can't lay down to point anywhere else...
