Just picked up the T616 as well. Battery Life seems to be quite short for a newer generation phone though. Price of the V600 way to high still through AT&T. Give it few months and should be able to pick one up for <$100.

I have the V600 - works great - links to TL system with ease - my only beef is that there are no "profiles" ( That I have found) for car, office, meeting, etc...leaving the bluetooth connection on the phone eats battery life - a bit of a pain to turn it on and off - the other thing that sucks is that it scratches very easliy - I've had mine for a week and it alreadly looks like its been through the mill - I have been pleasantly surprised by ATT wireless service so far

my v600 battery life is the shits too. is the bluetooth connection draining the battery? my first battery only lasts me like 1 day on standby. i went and switched it at the at&t store for another one and this one lasts me maybe 2 days tops. i'm on the road maybe 60-90 minutes on average each day. what is your v600 battery life? just curious.

I have the T616 and was having horrible battery life. I switched off the BT for a few days and have had great battery life. It is a little bit of a pain to switch back and forth. I was just hoping it was the T616, but seems like it is BT.

I have the V600 and pairs fine with the HFL. The battery life is very bad when the phone is paired it drains the battery. I have the car charger and connect the phone to it all the time.
One issue I have seen is that sometimes the incoming call will connect to the HFL but the voice will not come through. I have to open the phone and take the call and all the time the phone is linked to the HFL. When I end the call the HFL disconnects normally. Has anyone had this problem...

I have the SE with t-mobile. The one big drawback is signal strength. My wife has the V300 and it always has one or two signal icons higher then my phone. Pisses me off.

Next year, I will look to switch to Verizon, by then they will have a bluetooth phone. Verizon is supposed to come out with a motorola phone with the same functionality as the V600. The V600 looks sweet!!!
Regards,
Bollywood

under the v600 car settings make sure both the auto answer AND auto handsfree are set to off. Also check that the headset auto answer is set to off. Your v600 should work like a charm.

I picked up the Cingular v600 last night. First reports are that the sound quality is better than when I had the T616. Will report back after day 2 with the phone.

I prefer the T616 over the V600 but that's just me. Maybe I know too much for my own good.

oh no, is there something we should know as well? I find the menus to be a bit clunky, but the customization is 10 times better. What aren't you telling us?

That's my thought.

I didn't like the look of the V600. I went for the simplicity of the T616.

I finally got S/E in Canada to upgrade my firmware.

One of the earlier posters suggested correct settings for the V600. Are there any settings issues that I should be aware of with the T616? I know there are settings for "Car Handsfree" (I have set to 'advanced'), "Handsfree Answering Mode" (set to 'normal') and "Handsfree Type" (set to 'automatic'). Are these the correct settings and are there other settings that I should be careful with using the TL.

Thanks for the help.

^ Part of it is due to personal preference but just keep in mind these series of phones by Motorola is their step out from the trenches. They are definitely improving but I don't think they are ready just yet. The next series of phones though...I might try a Motorola then.
