Thinking of replacing my speakers
When i am listening to soft music with low volume there is this hissing sound coming out of my stock speakers. Is it speakers' problem or head unit? I assume it's caused by speakers so if i am getting new set of speakers what brand should i get?? Thanks in advanced.
ive spent the last few days determining this problem!
its not worth it. youll have to change the speakers and amp. just put the treb/bass in the middle and fade it slightly to the back. that minimizes it

Although the factory speakers leave something to be desired, they are not the problem. The problem lies within the factory amp. I can tell you that adding an aftermarket amp with a little more power should clear up the hissing issue. I don't like the idea of amping factory speakers, BUT, never the less, this should correct the problem.

Couple of reasons....the factory speakers are just crappy paper cone speakers and too much power to them will blow them out. On top of that, they are only 1ohm...not really a standard in car audio. I just say replace the factory speakers and get a new amp.
You can run an aftermarket amp off the factory head unit with a "line converter". If you do want an aftermarket headunit thats decent and not too expensive, pioneer premier series may be good for you. I carry most lines of audio, so if you see something you like, let me know via email and I will give you a price.
