Is there a RCA plug harness for the TSX?

Basically looking for a harness that converts the preamp output plug (that currently goes to the amp) to a RCA plug, and I guess the other plug that comes out of the amp will just have to be spliced since it goes to the speakers (?)

maybe first tell us what you are doing??? a line out convertor (LOC) accepts speaker wires as inputs and uses rca as outputs.

Well I'm just thinking of putting in a new amp (replacing the OEM amp) while keeping all the wiring and HU the same.

The way I understand it is as follows:

HU --(Acura plug)--> OEM amp --(Acura plug)--> speaker

and I want this:

HU --(Acura plug)--> --(harness with RCA plug)--> Aftermarket amp that takes RCA input --(harness with speaker wire in)--> --(Acura plug)--> speaker

As I understand it per Eldude, the outputs from the HU is a normal preamp output, and can be directly changed to RCA plugs if I splice the wires, and so not requiring a LOC (LOC will actually degrade the sound). However, I'm looking for some clean solution/harness which does this, so that I don't have to splice the wires in case I ever need to put it back to OEM state.

I think eldude was referring to the speaker wiring output of the oem amp. Reread the topic in audio. And there were some members who noted noise thru their speakers on that config.

No existo.

The output is not 'normal' (i.e. single-ended) but balanced. If you go through the whole thread "Instructions for install shop..." in the FAQ section (it's a little long and some people get pissy), you'll see it works for some people and not for others. Unless something new came out, you have to cut. I understand your reluctance though, I won't be looking forward to putting my car back to stock if it ever comes to that.
