Test deal for USA SPEC ipod interfaces

OK, based on feedback, I have four USA SPEC HON2 Y kits coming in.

Let's see how long they last.

$120 shipped lower 48. "Y" cables are included.

Email me at acurazine at avincar dot com.

PMs get much slower response.

Regards,

The Dude

How could I possibly do this when USA Spec is not on your Trusted Vendor list?? :p

Actually, I'd have taken you up on this about 3 weeks ago, but I already have one for the TSX. Good price though!!

We actually bought them before the TSX XM problem came to light, for Volvos! They are the only Volvo interface maker.

These are the HON2y kits??? You know you don't need a seperate y-cable then.

I've contacted usa spec about trading in my HON2 or a HON2y, these are far superior w/ their built in factor harness plug and updated firmware!

This is a great price people. I got one of the best deals ever on a HON2 (no y) in April and this is still better than that price.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but what do the firmware updates do? Thanks.

I just e-mailed USA-Spec and asked specifically what the differences between the HON2 and HON2y are. I'll be glad to post back if I hear from them.

Pardon my ignorance here, but is this the same product as what's listed on their website?

http://www.usaspec.com/ipod.html

If so, then this can be used as an alternative to the Acura Music Link (for ipod) on an '06 TL?

:maybe:

Thanks for the help...

can this thing work with a 02 TL-S with a Pioneer AVIC Z1 head unit?

I would get the ipod adapter thats made for the Z1 but I heard alot of bad things about it.

^ Nope, its designed to interface with factory Honda headunits. You need aftermarket for that bad boy.

So with this kit you can change tracks and even playlists thru the steering wheel controls on a 2004 TSX?

Yes. But with 04 you can use a DICE or Icelink also. The DICE unit has an audio issue that affects 05-up XM sound quality.

I will make you a heckuva deal on an Acura Icelink NIB. Do you have Nav?

^^ If I remember right, if you're using the AUX input on the USASpec, you push CD6 in order to switch between the Ipod/AUX.
