Hi heys! I plan to install the Terk XM Commander in my 04 TSX w/o nav.

I have 2 places I am considering for the install...

One is inside the storage compartment (that can be replaced with the mp3 or cassette unit)

The other is below the A/C controls & in front of the black bar that contains the blue light for the console area.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to do either install and it look first class? Where could I find brackets that could be customized to do the job?

Installing the unit inside the storage compartment would allow me to hide it from view but I also hate to give up the space. It's great for hiding stuff.

I'm getting the same unit. I want to use the "Not An Ashtray" bin. I got the idea from
Bass Mechanic's thread.

You lose the outlet but the aesthetics are worth it.

I really like the storage bin above it--I'd never give THAT up.

 

Thanks for the info, captainjack! I begin my install tomorrow AM.

 

I installed mine on the black bar right below the AC controls. The XM control blends in perfectly with the silver and black dash. I still have complete access to the storage units.

Circuit City installed the unit and used Bent L brackets with double sided tape. Great job.

MoveOvr, do you have pics? Did the bracket cover the blue lighting located under the bar?
