I like your setup (the trunk wall) - actually it reminds me of mine, just that my amp is hidden.

How much did Ant charge you for the install? I used to go to them all the time, but their prices became ridiculous. Great bunch of guys though.

He charged me $800. That included putting in the avic-z1 with the kit, putting the TV’s in the headrest, putting in all the door speakers and the two amps, dynamat the doors and the trunk, make a simple trunk enclosure, mount the cap, and he threw in the steering wheel peripheral. I basically had all the equipment he just provided the wires, dynamat and labor.

I call them rippos, they are sloppy as hell. They must be hurting for business charging so cheap for all that work, my shop would have charged you at least 1500 for all that work the only differance is it would have been perfect. you got a good deal but don't forget you get what you pay for! Good luck with it

Why did they get rid of your card holder?

A place that does really good work in north jersey is design tech on morris ave. in union. I know they did the install on Sean Paul's hummer, not sure what else they did though. I'm gonna see what they charge me for relocating the heating and AC controls in my CL so i can put a screen where the stock nav would go. I've never even heard of Zippos.

I have to agree, not a fan of the trunk, it does look like sloppy work . I haven't had the best experience in audio work in my cl. Even when I ordered from streeteffectz I didn't think I got good service. I got a kit, I thought it would not take up the extra tray but apparently I was wrong. Not to mention it took 2 months to get here, after cancelling the order it now shows up...go figure....I have another kit being made I will wait for that one...worst 250 I spent

holy crap. what the hell did you do to ur trunk...

just looking at it here's what I see wrong...

the guy cutting the false wall can't even cut shit straight - why are are these edges inconsistent with each other?!?! i'd show the shop these exact pictures you're taking and take that shit back. the trunk looks like it almost looks like a cruel joke.

and on this 2nd pic:

did you want to leave this bottom compartment completely useless? and why is this edge all fucked up?

How is the rubber material around the sub, is it hard or soft? My solo x seems kinda tough, maybe age or just made to take a beating?

I'd rather keep my trunk empty and not be out of pocket any cash at all if my trunk ended up looking like that piece of shit. The build quality of the MDF wood irks me; I don't even wanna begin looking at what components were used to put this system together.

yeah, I would take it back and see if they can clean it up a little bit. Really you shouldn't of dealt with Zippos in the first place. All you need to know is Street Effectz.

You could of attempted the customize the trunk and I bet it would have came out just as good or even better.

Sorry man.

No offense but haven't had the best of service from streeteffects and I ordered the part through the phone calls and mail....Ron is so hard to get hold of...personally I think the guy starts to duck calls, doesn't return them. I have dealt with way better businesses over the phone...One of my worst... I couldn't recommend them to anyone....

I had my z1 installed, using the card holders space as well and the pics sure don't do it justice...I like it better than the modified metrakit...Oh and I will probably putting up my streeteffectz kit up in the black market, I have an extra kit...It does take up the card holder space, paint is not dead on, but it does look close, looks to be made of mdf...Some custom work needed, not much just screwing in brackets....

None taken. Ron has always been hard to get ahold, busy as hell. Even more busy now with the merger. Don't expect to get his attention unless you have an appointment. I was strickly talking about the quality of work they do. It's unfortunate but most smaller companies that are quality tend to lack in good customer service. However, I can't say this specifically about SE because Ron has consistantly provided me with good customer service for the past 3 years.

I have no doubt he does good work, it was just so easy to get hold of him when I wanted to buy something. After ordering a couple days for the part to be shipped turned into months of no answered messages and I'll call you back in 10 minutes when I can research and find out what going on....I mean don't tell a customer your going to call him back if your not...
