system completed! one problem...

hey. i have a RF punch 400.4 (x4) running my speakers and a rf punch 500X (x2) running my dvc sub. after the distribution block, there is a 1 farad cap. i hooked everything up right. now my speakers work just great. my sub doesn't though. i don't know what it could be. the amp LED is lit, it is getting power (is a brand new amp). could there be something wrong with the capacitor? here is how i connected the cap . there are 2 connections on the positiver terminal of the cap, the power from battery and the power to the amp. there are 2 connections on the negative terminal, one grounding the cap itself and the other is the negative wire from the amp. i heard you can do this so...w

well i need help. i don't know whats wrong with the subwoofer side of my system. i can explain more if you need....

If the LED on the amp is on, then your cap shouldnt be the problem. Check the RCA cables. Switch the RCAs from the 400.4 to the 500x and see if the subs work. If not, then make sure the speaker wires are hooked up right.

Yah...and about charging the cap...you don't really have to charge it with a resistor...that's just so you don't spark and melt things. I have yet to actually do that...takes to damn long...I'm all about the spark and melt method.
