wssp all.... i am getting a system in like 5 days... most likely 2 12" kicker comp vrs... i was wondering what you all thought of those, and how the sound in the TLs'... responses are appreciated.... btw i gotta '02 TLS

 

I am big kicket fanatic and cant say anything bad about them. They will give you alot of bass thats about it. They sound good but arent that smooth. Just wondering how about doing a single woofer like a Kicker 12" L7. My friend had some Comp Vrs and he abused them everday for about a year and still to problem and now he upgraded to some JL W3v2's, I got my whole crew converting from kicker to JL now. I also have a single CompVr 10 in my RSX. Also what amp are you looking at

 

hmmm... icic... so.. what if i got 2 12"L7s? would that be tight? or should i get 2 12" JL W3V2's???.... srry... i am not really knowledgeable on this type of stuff.... thx for helps

 

Heres a breakdown

Comp VRs need 50 to 400 watts
JL W3v2 need up to 350 watts
L7s need up to 750 watts.

U would just need a really really big amp for 2 L7s'

I would say get two 12 W3v2s.

 

also do u need help choosing amps?

 

amp help would be koo... plus i am getting my system from my dads friend who has a stereo shop.... we've known then for like 10 yrs... so i am getting my system form wholesals... (just a little fyi)

what about getting 2 separate amps?

 

Let me know what brands he carrys and what kind of music do u like. Are u just gettin subs or doing it all including headunit.

 

my two kickers L7's craped out after less then 6 months...go with something more expensive.thats whtai wish i did...

 

he carries just about all of the brands... if not he can get them... if they "crap" out, he said he'll gimme lifetime warrenty as long as i own them... i am just getting subz for now... and i mostly listen to hiphop

 

How about 2 JL W3v2s and a Rockford 500BD amp. THat was the last setup I had for bass and it was awesome.
