Switching Headunit

I have a Clarion VRX745 in my car right now and im going to be taking that out and putting in a SONY CDX-M8815X. I was just wondering if i would have to redo the wiring harness that plugs into the back of the HU or should it fit into the new Sony headunit?

as far as i know, the harnes should work, you just would have to re-solder/crimp the wires.

No the Clarion wiring harness won't be a direct fit for the Sony.. Atleast from my experience it won't be the same..

You just need to re-splice and connect the radio harness into the Metra wiring harness.. Like 10 wires..
