Sweet OEM 6" Replacements

Anyone wanna test these speakers out against the stock TSX ones?
Pretty nice sensitivity rating and the depth isn't too bad, but you will want to use a spacer anyway.

Ummm Dayton audio is a really good brand of speakers. I personally think they sound great. Do you actually companies like JL and Alpine make speakers in house.
My alpine type X are really called Scan Speak, they sell them to alpine and alpine makes a killing.

daytons are some of the best bang for your buck mids that you can find
many compare them to the seas reference line, which goes for at least like 3 times the price. plus these are the brand new mobile audio version, before they only came in a 8ohm shielded version, that only a few people took the trouble to take off the shielding and use it in a mobile application.
I'm curious how they would be for stock replacements, i'm probably going to be using a pair of the 7" in a DIY active component set up, once i am ready to install everything....which might be a while. hopefully they don't raise the price anytime soon.

I would think no less room than in the fronts. These Daytons would most likely require a 1/2-3/4 inch spacer (C=2-3/4, depth?).

what are the stock speakers 15 to 20 watts RMS with a 100db sensitivity.

stocks cant be 94, if type S is 92, you need at least 3db differ even to notice a differ in volume. At the least stock must be 96.

i think the old 8-ohm shielded ones were a good 1/2 inch fatter, and would have to be debucked to fit in most applications.

Also, this speaker is not listed under their "Car Audio" section but rather seems to be for home speaker building applications. Should I be concerned about using this in a car door? After all, there is potential of water getting into the door cavity and on the speaker.
