what do you think would be a better or easier setup for adding a sub to my 2k tl:
1 12" sub replacing the stock sub
2 10" subs firing in the trunk

also, has anyone added 2 10" subs in the rear deck of their tl, where the stock sub is? how hard/expensive is it? does it sound good?

if you try and put anything in the rear deck its gonna take a lot of modifications and cutting. Wouldnt suggest it.

thanks guys, any ideas on what types of sub enclosures i should use? does anyone make a custom box for the tl, or do i have to get my own custom box made?

 

First, what kind of music do you listen to. Second, what's your budget? Third, do you want to use up as little space as possible?

I rhink I want to go with two Alumapro 10s in one of their custom boxes. They are so small it lets you keep most of you trunk. This would be running off a Phoenix Gold ZX475TI amp. Of course Ron would be doing his magical install.

I'm waiting to see what Jake is up to. Sounds like a really nice setup.

 

Alright guys, i think i got a system picked out, but im looking for a good deal on it. its 2 jl w3 10 in subs in a HO box, with a rockford 500.2 punch amp. how much should i ask the guy for it? he said he'd cut me a deal . . .

 

Do the 2 10s in the trunk. I wouldn't try to put anything on the rear deck like Dhiren is saying, you will have to cut up alot of metal and do alot of reinforcement to do that.

go for the dual set up. Much less moding, classier set up, and the bass will be able to keep up w/ faster bass lines, if you listen to that type of music.
