Hey guys...

I bought 2 12 inch eclipses awhile back...and i constantly have a problem with the trunk rattling because of the strong bass and my rearview mirror going completely insane...

is there a way i can fix these problems or at least make them less annoying???

Turn down the stereo.

















Or you could try using sound damping material on the inside of the trunk lid under the trim. You probably have license plate rattling too, and perhaps rear-deck trim rattling. You need to systematically address each rattle and buzz source by playing music and getting into the R seat and trunk and pressing differrent areas to see which ones are at fault. It's not a TSX-specific solution - it's been done by lots of folks.

Oh, and given how many people came back to complain that their rear-view WASN'T shaking, I think you are just SOL on that. What did you THINK those subs were going to do? : )

good luck is all I can say. i don't really care about the rattling sounds when standing outside the vehicle, I am more concerned with the rattling inside the ride. atleast the rattling that i can hear inside. i am also rocking two 12s and they definately shake the shiat out of the TSX.

 

yeah, the only rattle i have is coming from the rear view mirror where theres like a wire that plugs into it, i guess for auto dimming. i do get some trunk rattling, but mostly thats all outside noise. but given the bump in the trunk, i think my TSX is pretty rattle free

 

i get a clicking sound from my rear view mirror area even when i go over bumps with the radio off. its starting to get kind of annoying.

 

Do you guys get rattles when the center console is down in the back seat?
It seems to sound better for me when the rear center console is up.
