Subs cant keep up with music....

Ok my buddy is telling me that my subs aren't hitting well with the music, i think hes on crack, but anyways he says they are too slow and keep up with the beat. SOO im wondering can that be by the amp, or by me running too much power? Would adding a Cap help?

Heres my setup... 2 A/D/S 312rs.2 subs, with a DEI 1100d amp
And a PG tantrum T500.2 amp for the Focal Utopia 165w componets... Any ideas whats wrong and why it wouldnt keep up?

Could be a number of reasons. I would first start by setting xover at 80-85(if not already) then reverse polarity on subs. Then maybe lower xover a bit more. Change slopes, aiming, soundproofing, etc. Just tweak one thing at a time until YOU are happy with it. Try not to do it all in one night, you start hearing things that aren't there after a while. Take your time and have fun.
