Sub install help

I just installed my subs into my car..and the subs are really weak..they play but the sound from it is very low..any suggestions?

Help us out a little more - tell us what you have for gear and how you installed it, and then we'll know where to start.

Also, what is the gain set to on the sub, what are the settings on the HU (bass, sub output, and EQ settings, if applicable)

We need more info to help you. Make sure to tell us the wiring. If you meant to wire the sub(s) for a 2-ohm amp load, you might have accidentally wired it for 8-ohms, leading to weak output. that could a prob. gives us more info so we can help you out.
